Brief Description:  Right Wing Position Light - 3

The second washer and nut went on pretty easily. I was a bit confused about wiring the AeroLEDs into the Vertical Power electronic circuit breaker VP-X Sport, so I did some studying and made a few phone calls before attaching the final nut, The mounting plate and the light both need to be grounded. Because this is a composite airframe, that means running a ground wire back to the ground bus. I'll use shielded wire for all of the lights because they will all strobe which can cause radio interference. I called AeroLEDs for some technical advice. Susan answered and took my number to have Mike call me back. Great people and great support. I highly recommend AeroLEDs to anyone building a plane.

Mike said to ground to the shield wire and then to the bus. He also said that since the VP-X Sport will strobe and wig wag, the only wires that need connecting from the landing and taxi lights are the red power and the black ground. As far as the position lights go, wire the hot lines for both the position and strobes together (that's 4 wires if your keeping score) and run that to the VP-X. I finally understand the wiring and am excited to get going.
