Brief Description:  Plan Avionics and wiring

I decided to go with Vertical Power's VP-X Sport electronic circuit breaker system. Basically, it's way cool and should save a lot of time wiring the avionics. It has 24 electronic, programable circuit breakers and allows for up to 10 panel switches, not counting trim or flap switches which are already included in the standard set-up. The breakers are controlled on a page built into the EFIS (in my case the Dynon HDX Touch). So, no need for breakers on the panel. This is a big deal for planes with limited panel space and for planes with ample panel space, but a lot of avionic goodies like big EFISs, as is my case.

The Vertical Power website has a planner which allow you to enter your specific avionics, including electrical loads and the planner takes it from there. I've completed my initial plan and have requested that the VP Support Team review it and provide feedback. That's a nice touch VP people. Thanks.

I cut out the full size pictures of my avionics and taped them on the panel to see how it all fits. I'll probably move the poewr unit off of the panel to make room for trim switches and the pitch LEDs, but so far, so good.
