Test fit and trim the trim tab trailing edge. The inboard edge needs to be a little bit longer to shrink the gap between the tab and the elevator. About 1/4" should do it, so body filler will be applied to the edges of both the trim tab and elevator to provide a nice 1/8" gap between the two.
