Manual Reference:  Lighting
Brief Description:  Preparing for Landing Lights

In the home stretch now for the Left Landing Light. Now working on the lower surface, in Image 1 I used my Platenut Drill Jig to drill the Platenut rivet holes. Image 2 shows that by reaching in from the spar side of the Leading Edge I install can the Hole Oversizing Tool that I made. I cleco the tool in place from the inside so that there is very little of the Cleco sticking out to cause trouble when I drill the fastener hole. Now when I use my #10 screws to fasten my Landing Light Lens in place there is some clearance for the screw to move when the different thermal expansion rates between Plexiglass, steel and aluminum occur.
