Brief Description:  Preparing for Landing Lights

Once the two Struts were Cleco'd in place it was apparent that the Landing Light Mounting Plate would not fit between them so I had to make a relief cut in the outboard edge of the Mounting Plate. Image 1 shows that I used my Drill Press with a 2" hole saw to make that cut. Image 2 shows how the Mounting Plate now fits with room to spare. My next step was to drill the Inboard and Outboard Brackets to accept the platenuts the bolts that fasten the landing light to the Mounting Plate. I got the Platenut Drill Jigs from Aircraft Tool Supply.
