With all of the Struts made it's time to match drill them to the ribs and brackets. I started by locating the Strut in place on the Rib and Bracket and then marking where the tooling hole in the Rib fell on the Strut with a Sharpie. This was important because I wanted to be sure I had edge distance to the edges on the Strut and to the tooling hole in the Rib. After finding the best locations for the future 1/8" rivets I drilled the Strut and then used those holes (and the Shapie mark) to drill the matching holes in the Rib. Image 1 shows me trying to use the 12" drill bit to match drill the Strut to the Rib but it's too long so in Image 2 you can see me using a shoter drill with the drill motor fitting nicely between the ribs. What you can see in Image 1 is that I've already match drilled the Strut to the Bracket and cleco'd it in place to help me match drill the holes in the RIb. Image 3 shows me match drilling the second hole in the rib.
