Brief Description:  Preparing for Landing Lights

Time to bend the struts to fit. I've added a single bent flange to add some stiffness to the Strut and in Image 1 you can see how I lined up the Strut Blank on the Bending Brake. The Strut Blank is held in place by an aluminum bar that has a chamfer on the edge that you bend along. I've foound that if I hold the aluminum bar in place using a single spring clamp I can do my final position adjustments of the bar and the part and then apply the C-Clamps to really hold things in place. Image 2 shows the Strut in place under the bending bar and the bar held in place with the spring clamp. Image 3 shows the the stiffening flange after bending.
