After cutting out and sanding the 3 new leading edge forms from 2x8 material I cut some of the remianing 1x8 poplar for a base. Image 1 shows me cutting off a piece from the original poplar board. This time I decided to glue the 2x8 leading edge forms to the base and to keep the forms at 90 degress to the base I cut some short lengths of the 1x1 aluminum angle I had used previously to drill the trailing edge of the rudder I used Elmers Wood Glue to glue the 2x8 forms to the 1x8 base and Gorilla Glue to glue the 1x1 aluminum angle to the 2x8 forms. I them used a mixture of clamps to secure all of the different pieces in place. Image 2 shows me applying the final clamp to the assembly and Image 3 shows an overall shot of the clamped assembly.
