Brief Description:  Assembling the Elevators

My Neighbor, Norm, has been a shooting enthusiast for as long as I've known him and he has been casting his own bullets. So I asked him if I could borrow his Lead Melting Pot to melt the lead I had sawed off and try to re-pour it into the voids in the counterweights. Norm agreed and I started heating lead in his pot. The first pour was not entirely successful - having the lead weights at room temperature caused the poured lead to freeze too quickly. The second pour was done after I'd had the counterweights in my oven for an hour at 500 degrees F (Lead melts at 620 degrees F). That seemed to do the trick and I got good adhesion.
