Brief Description:  Building the Rudder

These images summarize how I rolled the Rudder Leading edges. First, I applied some duct tape to the area of the leading edge to be rolled. Then I attached the free ends to a piece of steel pipe and rolled it up snug. After doing this I decided that in the future I will use wooden dowels instead of the steel pipe because the pliers and vice grips I used to apply torque to the pipe ended up cutting into the pipe surface creating some nasty surfaces. At least the wooden dowel would be soft enough that the teeth of the pliers will dig into the surface and generate some harmless to the aluminum skins splinters.
