Today I was working to install the small brackets that react fore-aft loads on the Landing Light Support Brackets and even though I used my centerpunch and twisted the drill bit by hand a few turns, the drill still walked. Now Image 1 shows the edge distance to the tooling hole in the rib that I've marked on the part won't be the edge distance I wanted. So I need a new bracket. Fortunately I made a spare blank and all I have to do is bend up another one. Image 2 shows the replacement bracket in progress. I've already bent the one long edge and I'm set up for the second bend on the forward tab. After making that bend with the bending brake I have to make the last bend using my Avery Hand Seamer. Image 3 shows me comparing the new bracket already installed in the hand seamer to the one I'm replacing to ensure that I bend that last tab in the proper direction.
