Brief Description:  Preparing for Landing Lights

The next step was to drill the Inboard and Outboard Landing Light Support Brackets t accept the #8 Platenuts I bought. To drill these holes I used a Platenut Drill Jig purfhased from AIrcraft Tool Supply. I bought several sizes (#8, #10) and styles (in-line and corner) on the assumption I'd be needing to drill for nutplates again in the future. They're easy to use although I have to wonder why they come with such a long handle. Perhaps I'll learn that in the future.
