With the four Landing Light Shim Frames nearly finished, I moved on to the Landing Light Lens Mounting Frames. Image 1 shows that I started by using two of the Shim Frames to trace out the outlines of the Mounting Frames onto a sheet of 0.025-inch 2024-T3 aluminum sheet. Image 2 shows me cutting out the frame blanks with my bandsaw. Image 3 shows me using hand snips to cut the outside corners on the frame - something that was very difficult to do with the 0.050 Shim Frames.
