I made some SS brackets to attach to the lower engine to attach some cushion clamps for my alternator run. Originally, I ran the wiring down the left side with the #2 from the starter, but did not have enough to make it to the main alternator buss. Running from the alternator aft will easily make it. I also removed the Vans optional static port. I installed them a year ago, and never did like the design. I upgraded the system with Avery static port and which will allow me to connect it using Safaire static/pitot connectors. After talking to Bob Avery about the best mounting procedure, he suggested securing them with PROSEAL. I installed two 90° angle Safaire fittings and attached the orfice with PROSEAL. To hold it secure, I slid a paint stick through the bulkhead wedged it against the fitting. I plan to give it 48 hours to set.
