Marked and cut the oil access door opening on the upper cowling. This gave me access to see how my air seal fabric was sitting with the new baffles. It was tight in a couple areas so I put a little baby powder on them so they would slide against the cowling....worked well. Vans said the air seal fabric will conform a little better after being exposed to engine heat for a few hours. They are just a little stiff now. I cleaned up the oil door edges and cut the access door to fit. Because I am installing a hidden door hinge, I did not cut the opening as large as they designed. i still have plenty of room to check and maintain the oil level. I also added a 3/8" lip on the hinge side. Their design did not call for the lip because the exposed hinge sat there.
