Started the main wheel fairings today. The instructions said the "must be MADE to fit together" ......and they were not kidding. I spent several hours joining the front and rear fairing...getting joint to look nice. Once that was complete, I drilled and clecoed them together. To level them on the aircraft in a later step, I am required to place a mark 7 1/16" (same as the rear) on the front. To do that I created a fixture on my work bench and secured the center of the inverted tail square and level with the center mark. Then, using my square, I measured up the front 7 1/16" and made a mark on the forward section. This will be my level line.
