Today I installed the lower main Michelin tires, MATCO wheels and I found that the sleeve that rides between the bearing and the main spindle bracket had interferance with a securing nut. After providing relief to clear the fastener, the wheels were torqued to 22-25 lbs of rolling torque. Once torqued I removed the nut (8 revolutions) and removed the wheel. Then reinstalled the nut (8 revolutions) and marked the holes to be drilled for the securing 2" cotter pin. The spindle and mating surfaces were deburred and cleaned and the bearings were greased with Aeroshell 22 (MATCO recommendations) and the cotter pin was installed. Tomorrow I will work on the front wheel.
