Brief Description: Door panel lay up with fiberglass
Today I removed all the latch mechanisms from the right door and put modeling clay in the voids. Next I covered the entire interior of the door with blue shippings tape. I then covered all the taped area with two layers of BID fiberglass and epoxy. Next, I removed the epoxy liner I laid up yesterday from the left door and rough trimmed the outside parameter and window opening. I then cut two holes for the middle mechanism and the latch handle. I extended those holes to the bottom so the panel could be put in place after the door is installed. A square was then cut so the gas cylinder brackets could attach to the door. I temporarily installed the brackets and glassed over it so the hinge bracket will be nicely nested in the glass. I topped it off with clean peel to help with the final texture.
