I installed the forward and aft door rod end guides and worked with it until the action was smooth. Then I cut the rods off flush, threaded the ends and installed the pointers to find where the fuselage holes needed to be drilled. Then the mechanism was disassembled and the rods were shortened 3/4" and rethreaded. Once done, I added magnets in the Plane Around latch pins and tightened them down. I took the door mechanism back apart and ground .002 off to get achieve the correct latch pin index. After drilling the fuselage 7/16 for the latch pins, I reinstalled the door and tested the fit. When closed, pulls the door in just great. Tomorrow I will fit the forward and aft pin guide blocks.
