I made a countersink gauge from .032 aluminum to use when I finished the cabin to account for the recessed cabin area being fastened. After chamfering all the holes, I started to fit the carbon fiber overhead console. Years ago, when Geoff first made his console mold, the console was a drop-in fit. Overtime there have been minor changes to the cabin and the console is no longer a drop in. After cutting off the console aft section, I trimmed an opening so the cabin windscreen bar would not have to sit on the overhead console. I sanded ares where I could on the cabin. I plan to attach the console after I get the door installed.
