I finished making the steel rudder cable links and temporally installed them. I then made and installed the nylon rudder cable guides on both sides. After they were secure, I added a cushion clamp to secure the nylon guide tube that protects the cable as it passes through the tunnel wall. That completed the instructions...but I was not happy with the finished look. I removed the clamp and cable, drilled and dimpled holes for two nut plates on each side to secure a fairing cover. Now... I feel that it is done. I need to disassemble and paint some of the parts, but will wait until I have more to paint. I then started making the forward and midsection elevator pushrod assemblies. I had painted the inside of the push tubes a few months back, so the tubes were good and cured. After installing and drilling the threaded rod ends, I deburred and added them to the list of things to alumiprep, alodine and paint.
