Brief Description: Fuel Calibrate
|
|
Left fuel tank calibration. Plane was leveled for "inflight". 2837 grams including the container w/o cap. Was used for the one gallon capacity. Temp 48°F. The system was Calibrated for zero gal = 2.208V, 1 gal = 2.101V, 5 gal = 1.644V, 10 gal = 1.364V, 15 gal = 1.074V, 20 gal = 0.823V, 25 gal = 0.455V & 30 gal = 0.393V. I will do right tank tomorrow. 3/8" dowel rod marked at 1 5/8, 2 5/8, 3 5/8, 4 5/8 and 6 7/8 for the 30 gal. Fuel did not register on the dowel until 10 gal mark. Calibrated and saved the file, the red X was removed on the left tank and the scale registered 30 gallon. Twenty gallon was removed to be used for the other tank. Due to the cool temperature, I did not want the fuel to expand and seep out the vent line as the temp rose.
