The FAA DAR representative concluded his review yesterday and presented an airworthiness certificate. Today, I spent time doing some final adjustments and calibrating the panel settings. First was the elevator. After some very minor cable adjustments, I repined the cable end and calibrated the panel. Now, I can clearly see where neutral elevator is set from the cockpit. The aileron was next to check and it did not require adjustments. The aileron panel gage was calibrated and verified. I revisited the flap setting to find it also did not need adjustment. Panel calibration checked. Because the entire tunnel cover was removed for my DAR inspection, I double checked the entire control line from the stick to the elevator. By using hard templates manufactured specifically to insure accuracy of the assembly, I was able to verify my control set up at neutral and the rear set up was a perfect 91.4°. All looked good. Tomorrow I plan to push the plane out of the hanger to get a GPS signal and finish programming the Auto Pilot. I finished the day by vacuuming out the areas where I was installing covers.
