Brief Description:  Fuel Test 1 - Usuable Fuel - Gravity

UNUSABLE FUEL (GRAVITY TEST)
My good friend Bill Lane and I spent the day conducting a fuel system test . Starting with fuel tanks empty, a short 3/8" tube is connected to the tank outlet. Fuel is weighed and measured 25-28 fl oz at a time. This fuel is added to the tank (through a screen filter) until it runs out the 3/8" tank connection. The filter retains zero additional fuel after it has been used once. The plane sits @ 1.5° nose up.
RIGHT TANK TEST - 560 g (grams) was poured in and almost immediately ran out. The tank retained 92 g @ 6.01 #/gal. (4.3 fl oz)
LEFT TANK TEST- starting with 457 g, it was poured into the tank until it started running out. Of the 457 g, 304 g was not poured. 65 g drained. (457 - [304+65]) = 88 g retained @ 6.01 #/gal. (4.1 fl oz.)
