Removed the rubber baffle material from the lower cowling and the oil access door from the upper cowling. Filled the larger voids with 20 minute filler and when cured, sanded the exterior. I decided that I needed to put a coat of epoxy in it to fill the pin holes, just like the cabin cover. I also sanded the upper interior cowling. It will be painted on the inside. Next I plan to sand the cowlings again and see if they need another coat of epoxy to fill the pin holes. If not, I will sand with #320 and prime with PTI high build sandable epoxy primer.
