Brief Description:  Plane Around door latch

I increased the pin access hole for the Plane Around middle door member to 1/2" for better access. I plan to install a cap plug after the door is completed. Next I timed the door gears, which is a real challenge with the Low Profile Handle from Aerosport Products. You have to remove the stop rivet the Vans has you install, but with the middle member, the rivet is not needed because the rod stops when it touches the member body. Knowing this, I timed this gear first. I set the gear so that when the handle was in the full engaged (locked) position, the third member pin almost touches the block. The forward gear is just a mirror of the rear. When the rear rod starts to show, I want the front to be the same. I then hung the door using the hardware recommended by Vans including the hinges I had chromed a few weeks ago. I then installed the Plane around door jamb piece that strikes the cam. When closed, the door pins have excellent jamb penetration. I will replace the plane nuts with AN hardware when I do the fiberglass work.
