I received my aft transparency back from Cee Baileys yesterday, and it looked brand new...and straight. I sanded the mating surfaces, and added AN6 washers to adjust the height every 4 inches. When the epoxy was cured I sanded the washers and prepped the surface. I set the transparency in a 1/2" bead of lord adhesive and installed the clamps I had positioned earlier. After about 10 minutes, I cleaned off the inside and left a nice radius on the joint. The outside joint was cleaned and the mess cleaned up. Next I sanded the epoxy/micro mixture supporting the fuselage on the front window. The gap needed filling to support the epoxy layers in the next step. Hand sanding using 80 grit paper tookAft it right down to the level I needed.
