I flew to Billings Montana the week of 1-19-15 to review the avionics assembled in my instrument panel. I had contracted Aerotronics, a superior general aviation company with an impressive 40 year history to design, acquire and test the panel. All their connections end with circular plastic connectors (CPC) making it easy to wire to. With their exhaustive testing, issues that arise are almost always on the downstream side of the CPC. Jason Smith, Experimental Manager hosted me for 22 hours over the four days, recommended a great hotel and gave me access to the airport car for my evening commute. The highlight of the visit was calling ATC from my panel for a radio check. My panel will ship out next week.
