I spent the day making sure I had adequate access in the sub-panel when the two are joined together. Once done, I reinforced the openings with .063 x 1/2" and .063 x 3/4" angles. I wanted all the angles to extend forward of the sub-panel so I used strips of .063 aluminum as shims so that the angle corners could overlap and be riveted. I reinstalled the "Vans supplied" control cable bracket.
