I made and installed a .032 doubler under the pilot seat for my transponder. I plan to use a TED antenna. The TED is a straight wire antenna with a ball in the end and is easy to install. I made the doubler 3" x 5" in case I want to change to a blade style antenna. I also installed the same size/shape .032 doubler about 24" beyond the cargo bay bulkhead. I plan to install another TED antenna here for my ADS-B. Note: I received a 505 ohm resistor today from Jason at Aerotronics. This resistor is placed on terminals 3 & 5 on the B&C standby alternator to add a small load so that the LED indicator will not lite with trace amounts of voltage. Normally there is a incandescent light used, but in order to use a LED, a resistor must be added.
