Brief Description: Oil Service Door Safety and MISC
2015 HAPPY NEW YEAR. Short day today with a couple small jobs. Drilled a hole in my oil service door access hinge and put a 90° bend in the hinge pin. The hole will be used to secure the hinge pin with safety wire after I paint the interior. I added nut plates to the aft spark plug access covers I made a couple weeks ago. That eliminates working with a very very small nut during service and eliminates 4 parts. With the upper aft cowl extended 1/16" on the right side, I added a little flox/epoxy/resin mixture to the lower cowl at that location to match up with the new joint. I will sand it flush once cured.
