Brief Description:  Stretching the cowling

I brushed an epoxy/resin mixture on the lower cowling to seal all the pin holes. This will be primed with epoxy primer and finished coated with a high temp gloss white paint. Parts will be covered by foil to control heat. The is a 4 inch area on the upper right side cowling needed to be extended 1/16 if an inch to better fit the fuselage. The EAA had a procedure posted which was exactly what I needed. I sanded the edge back about 60°, made a backing plate out of steel strapping, covered it with shipping tape and laid 1/4" of flox/epoxy/resin mixture to it. I will trim and sand tomorrow.
