I trimmed and sanded the oil level service door removing unwanted fiberglass left over from installing the foam reinforcement and extra layer of BID fiberglass. After Match drilling the hinge to the door, I spent some time doing a final fit. The door was about .030 too high on the hinge side, so I added a shim under the hinger made from .032 baffle material. The brought it up to level. All was sanded one more time and cleaned with prep all. The edges of the door were covered with shipping tape so the fiberglass/micro spheres would not adhere to them. I then spread a bead of that mixture and gently closed the door allowing the mixture to ooze out. Tomorrow, I will remove the door and clean up the opening.
