Brief Description:  Oil service door

The oil service door was removed and sanded for a final time. I also rough sanded the door opening...which will be finished again prior to paint. Once the door was fit, I drilled two 1/4" holes through the door and cowling to align the Camlocs I was getting ready to install. The 1/4" holes in the cowling were then resized to 1/2". The #3 Camlocs that were shipped with the kit were too short because I added a layer of fiberglass to better fit the door. I ordered a pair of #4 Camlocs from Aircraft Spruce and will install when they arrive. There are openings in the baffles at cylinders 5 & 6 so the spark plugs can be removed. These openings must be closed during operation, so I made a set of covers for them. These covers work in conjunction with the components they recommend, but do a better job of completely filling the openings.
