Brief Description: Air box, air cleaner clips install
I fit the air filter mounting plate to the throttle body (TB) , aligned and drilled in place. Then I added nut-plates and clips to secure the air filter. Vans recommends adding 1/8" gap between the mounting plate and the TB because over time the engine will settle about an 1/8" on the elastomers. I used plastic washers so it did not scratch either surface and they will be removed at final assembly. I cut away the area for the mixture cable clearance and installed the recess piece. I wanted to see 1/16" clearance on the full movement but found the recess slightly fouled the mixture arm so I ordered a replacement recess piece. Not having this complete does not slow down the install. I will come back and install this when the part arrives.
