Brief Description:  Fairing and seat work

Today I focused on my left wheel fairing and the lower/upper transition fairings. I used sticky back sandpaper glued to 3/4", 1 1/2" and 2" plastic pipe as well as a dual stage orbital sander to get the rough shape. From there I mixed epoxy with 2 parts microspheres to one part cabosol to use as my fairing compound. Tomorrow, I will make my first sanding pass on the left wheel and then do my first rough shape pass and epoxy on the right. From what I read, there are many, many passes to get it to look good. My second pass might be poly fill which you can sand in about 40 minutes. While the epoxy setup, I started to assemble the front seat mechanism making sure all the bolt holes lined up well with the nut plates. Saw no problems there. All will come off for finish painting and wiring.
