I worked in the right upper fuselage/leg fairing piece today. This side had a defect it in the fiberglass keeping it from nicely forming around the fairing. All other parts of it fit well..except for the defect. I decided to cit the defect out (it is only two layers of glass) and lay in new glass plus some reinforcement. When I laid it out, it fit great. Tomorrow I will remove the clean peel and see how good it looks. If I have to, I can add more fiberglass. They way it laid down, I believe it will turn out great. The four transition pieces are definitely a custom fit...and while they will look very nice, there has to be a better way to make these pieces.
