The plane is still on the centerline and off the main gear (in flight) from setting the wheel fairings which allows me to easily add another line parallel and level to the fuselage only under the rear step. This allows me to identify the proper angle for the leg fairings. After getting the angle set and clamped tight, I placed the lower transition pieces into position and secured them with duct tape. Vans provides a very thin fiberglass transition piece to install but must be reinforced with 2 more layers of glass to hold their shape. Once they set I will reduce their size a bit and add more glass for a professional look.
