More cowling work today. I manufactured the upper cowling pin keeper and discovered Vans does not provide the fasteners for it, so I need to order them. I then cut a 5/16" x 1 1/2" opening at the aft/center of the upper cowling to accommodate the hinge pin keeper and made the upper hinge Pins. I set the hinge height on the lower cowling to .026 (spec is 1/64-1/32). After setting the height, I clamped the hinge in place and drilled/clecoed the hinge to the lower cowling. My pin covers should be here Wednesday.
