Brief Description:  EAA Inspection and upper cowl fit

My EAA Tech Advisor came for a formal inspection this morning....and all went well. This was the fourth "written" inspection to date. After Sam left I got back to work on the upper cowling. After checking the fuselage for level I used plumb bobs to level the upper cowling. Then I marked and removed excess material at the firewall so the upper cowling would sit on the firewall hinge. Before cutting anything, I taped 1/8" spacers to the front cowling to insure I maintained the proper space between the spinner and the cowling. I want to say thanks to Brian, Tim and others that did this years ago and took the time to document the successes and challenges. While I found setting the top cowling somewhat difficult and time consuming, I was very pleased with the result.
