Did lots of research on how to articulate the Hartzell propeller without oil pressure or being mounted on the engine. I mounted the propeller onto a piece of 1 inch plywood where I recessed 6 holes for washers and 1/2x20 nuts. The plywood was mounted to my workbench. I found out that my wife and I could actuate the blades by hand, but the spring was to aggressive for her to hold into that position by herself. So we sandwiched the blade between a piece of carpet and two 2x4s giving the leverage she needed to hold the position after we rotated it by hand freeing me up to mark the spinner clearance. Once complete I spent the rest of the day designing the template for the two sections that go behind the spinner filling in the hole cutout to let the spinner slide over the propeller. It too had to be checked for clearance while the blade was being manipulated.
