When I did the console fit up, I had to remove the aft angle because it made the console about 3/16 too long and was slightly warped in the original molding process. Now that the console is glassed in place, I replaced it with two layers of BID glass to form a seal against the aft spar. Once cured, I trimmed to 1/2 inch. Next, the aluminum cabin rivet backing strip was tacked in place several areas so that it will be in the right place when it is time to install the aft upper tail section. When all was done, I sanded the inside aft opening smooth and brushed a sealing coat of epoxy over the surface.
