Having purchased all three wheels and brakes from Matco, I planned to follow their process for balancing. Rather then placing the wheel on a bolt between two concrete blocks, I found this motorcycle wheel balancer at Harbor Freight. In my purchase, MATCO provided three strips of weights, each with ten segments. The front wheel balanced with three of the ten segments. The main wheels have a bigger ID and the balancer as designed would not work. I found that by adding a standard 1 1/2" PVC drain seal on each side, the balancer cone fit just fine, allowing me to balance the mains. The left main balanced with 4 1/2 weight segments and the right required six. With all three tires balanced, I changed my focus to getting the fuselage ready to paint.
