Today I shaped the cabosil I added to the forward/aft vertical sides of the fuselage. I found that using a Dremmel with a 1" cutoff wheel, followed by a 1/2" sander worked best. The sanding wheel is the perfect size to set the backside of the seal landing. Because I will remove about 1/8" from the backside of the threshold I added 4 layers of BID glass on the front side. Tomorrow I will remove the clean peel covering the 4 layers of glass and add cabosil to a thickness of 1/8". The finished thickness will be 3/16 for the seal. I also added a little cabosil on the rain gutters to extend the area where the seals will sit.
