Worked on the right cabin door mechanism today. I initially set up and drilled the locator holes with the end blocks supplied by Vans, and then had to replicate those minor adjustments to make the end blocks supplied by Plane Around fit. I rough timed each pin to open and close with each other by setting the gears at the center handle mechanism. Adding the Plane Around third latch to the bottom of the door is taking much longer then I had originally thought it would. I did notice the Plane Around end block was about .020 thicker then the Vans, so when I drilled the initial alignment hole using the Vans block...I added a .020 shim underneath so the Plane Around block would line up nicely. Next I will add the handle and trim, tap and add the pins & magnets to the latch bar.
