I spent the last three days working on what I thought would be a great panel for the plane. Got lots of help from Steve at Garmin. Originally, I wanted a Garmin based package and also install the Vertical Power VP400 for a number of reasons. It all looked good until it was pointed out to me that the VP400 does NOT interface with Garmin's GSA 28 servo motors. Crap! Back to the drawing board. My fallback position is to use the VPX Pro and find a suitable backup EFIS (most likely Dynon) and some steam gages. I feel comfortable with the selection but now need to invest time better understanding each of the systems components and how they interact with other components within the system. This block diagram, which is based on the Garmin deliverables, has been tweaked for my system.
