Brief Description: Misc covers and floor panels manufacture
Since I already installed the floor panels. I turned to manufacturing the access panels. I started by installing the seat back close out panel. All the rest of the access panel work was very straightforward, though a few of the nut-plate rivets where somewhat of a challenge. Before I drilled and dimpled the front tunnel cover, I wanted to cut the hole for the Andair fuel valve cover. I learned from Tim's write up that it is easier to cut the cover plate hole first and then line up and mount the valve. (Good advice). And NOT to use the fly cutter on a hand held drill. Following his advice, I mounted the cover on my drill press and used a fly cutter... and it cut just fine. I also finished the rest of the panels. Tomorrow I plan to alumiprep, alodine and prime paint all access panels.
