Brief Description:  NAV1 VOR/GS dipole antenna installed

I disassembled, dimpled, chamfered, scotch-brighted, match and finish drilled the union of the mid section and empennage. I had a little prime painting to do before I riveted them together, so I stopped there to do a few other things. One thing I needed to address prior to riveting the section together was the installation of my NAV 1 NAV/GLIDE-SLOPE dipole antenna mounted under the tail. I finished drilling and chamfering the .063 aluminum I selected for the base then roughed it up with scotch bright and alumiprepp and alodined it. After adding 10/32 nut plates, Kris helped me rivet it onto the underside of the tail. When it was installed, I used a fluke meter to check the resistance..which should be less the 0.3 ohms. One lead was connected to the nut plate and the other alligator clip was attached to the rear skin. The reading 0.0 ohms.
