Brief Description:  Forward skin and insulation

I have help coming tomorrow to run the rivet gun on the rivets I can't reach so I spent this morning getting the rivets taped in place. With ambient temp running 90°-95° I would like to get done with this task early tomorrow morning. I assembled and test fit the mid section side vents L/R. I will let those go awhile until I have more components to paint. I finished sealing the firewall with firewall sealant to prevent any fumes from seeping into the cabin from the engine compartment. Next I laid out the 1 1/8 Soundex foil-backed insulation on cardboard and traced/cut pieces out using the patterns I made a few weeks ago for the forward section. Another builder suggested using an electric knife...which gave sharp clean edges. The insulation and forward top panel has to be finished installed before the lower gear brackets can be installed. I want to get my EAA Tech advisor out for an audit before I close it up.
