Brief Description: Midsection sub structure assemble
Today I started on the forward and midsection sub structure. The forward side channels were installed first, connecting them to the firewall brackets. Once installed, I installed the longerons and their two securing clips. When all the sub structure was complete, I back riveted the outmost mid section floor rib to the skin, and then installed both mid section skins. The fit was as expected. With them installed, I put a bead of fire-stop on the firewall edge of the forward skin and then clecoed them to the fire wall. I clecoed every hole on the firewall and will give it plenty of time to cure. With that fit up done, I finished clecoing the rest of the forward skin on each side. Next will be riveting. When the rivets are set, I will run another bead of fire-stop on the inside of the firewall to make double sure it is sealed.
